Bis (2-methyl-3-furanyl) disulfide is used as a meat flavour enhancer, commonly employed to simulate the cooked or roasted aromas of beef, pork, chicken, fish etc. Also can be used in roasted nuts and coffee.
Blended with other flavour compounds (such as furanones and thiazoles) for use in instant noodle seasonings, snacks, sauces, etc.
