L(+)-Tartaric Acid (CAS 87-69-4) is a high-purity natural organic carboxylic acid sourced from grape fermentation. It is a white crystalline powder with great water solubility and stable chemical properties. Commonly used as a safe food acidulant, pH regulator and chelating agent, it is widely applied in beverages, wine, food processing, pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries.
L(+)-Tartaric Acid is widely used as an acidulant in beverages and other foods, such as wine, soft drinks, candy, bread, and certain gel-based sweets.
L(+)-Tartaric Acid is used as a chiral reagent for the synthesis of tartaric acid derivatives and as a chemical resolving agent for the resolution of DL-aminobutanol, an intermediate in the manufacture of anti-tuberculosis drugs.
Leveraging its acidic properties,Tartaric Acid serves as a catalyst for the resin finishing of polyester fabrics and as a pH regulator in the production of oryzanol.
Tartaric Acid is used as a complexing agent, masking agent, and chelating agent in electroplating, desulfurization, acid washing, and chemical analysis.
Tartaric Acid can be used as a reducing agent to control the rate of silver mirror formation, resulting in a uniform coating.
It is also used as a photographic developer, a cleaning agent for metal surfaces, and a metal polisher.
